Matsogo Field
The Matsogo gas field was discovered and appraised by the
Matsogo-1 and 2 wells, drilled by Elf in 1966 and 1968 with structural
definition by 2D seismic. The Matsogo sand is of good quality and has a 33ft
net gas interval. Seven Energy
will re-enter the Matsogo-1 well in mid-2009 to test reservoir productivity
and gas composition, and optimise the facilities design. Options for a Matsogo sales gas agreement are being pursued with a view to allowing
production to commence in early 2010.
Amoji Field
During 2008 Seven Energy
re-entered the Amoji-1 well, and established a 17ft oil column under a 400ft gas
column at 9300ft. As result of this overlying gas column, reservoir simulation
indicated high gas production via gas cusping, and therefore the well was suspended
until future infrastructure allows gas development, avoiding wasteful gas
flaring
Igbolo Field
The Igbolo field was discovered by the Igbolo-1 well in
1983, drilled by Elf. Seven Energy
will carry out evaluation work of the field in 2009.
