Manish Maheshwari,
Chief Executive Officer

Manish Maheshwari has over 22 years' experience in the oil and gas sector, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Essar Exploration & Production, and prior to that as Managing Director of Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited, a subsidiary of Eni SPA. Manish has rich experience overlapping technical, commercial and financial domains in emerging economies. Manish has a Bachelor (Hons.) in Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from Strathclyde University and has been a member of several professional bodies including the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).

Jeff Corey,
Chief Operating Officer

Jeff Corey has over 30 years’ of oil and gas experience spanning five continents. Prior roles include Executive Vice President of Operations for Waha Oil Company in Libya, Australia-Pacific LNG Joint Venture Manager in Australia, Development Manager for ConocoPhillips in New Mexico, USA and Operations Manager for ConocoPhillips in Venezuela. He holds a B.S. Honors in Petroleum Engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology and obtained Professional Engineering registration in the state of New Mexico, USA. Jeff is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and previously served as Chairman of the Northern Emirates (UAE) section. 

Ian Brown-Peterside,
Managing Director, Midstream

Ian joined Seven Energy in August 2014 and has over 15 years’ experience in the industry. Before joining Seven Energy, Ian worked for BG Group, holding various positions including Vice President Legal for BG Kazakhstan, Legal Director of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating BV and Commercial Manager, Operated Assets (Nigeria). Ian was admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales in 1999 and holds a BSc Honours degree from King’s College, University of London.

Bassey Umoh,
Managing Director, Upstream

Bassey joined Seven Energy in January 2014 and has over 30 years' experience in the industry. Before joining Seven Energy, Bassey worked for ExxonMobil where he held positions in engineering, operations, maintenance, joint interest, projects; acquired various leadership qualifications both locally and internationally, and helped champion a number of key company initiatives. With ExxonMobil he was transferred to Esso France to work on various oil and gas development projects. Bassey holds a B.S. Honours degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Chris Thomas,
Chief Financial Officer

Chris joined Seven Energy in 2009. He has over 30 years' experience in corporate finance generally and over 20 years in the energy sector. Chris was a founding director of Melrose Resources plc, the former London Stock Exchange FTSE 250 international E&P company with interests in EMEA and the US. Chris is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has a BA from the University of Exeter.

Dr Glenn Bestall,
General Manager, QHSSE/CSR

Glenn joined Seven Energy in 2013 and has 30 years’ experience in technical safety, CSR and environmental management and project delivery roles. These roles held in industrial sectors ranging from (upstream/downstream) oil/gas, chemicals and mining in countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Angola, UK, USA, China, Germany, Spain, Holland et al. Glenn is a both a Chartered Chemist and Scientist and has a Ph.D. (Catalytic Chemistry) from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Nkem Okoro,
General Manager, Upstream Asset Management

Nkem joined Seven Energy in 2008 and has over 35 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Nkem started his career in Shell Petroleum Development Company in Nigeria. He was posted to NAM (Shell Company) in Holland where he undertook various offshore development projects and returned to Nigeria to take various senior positions. Nkem is a Mechanical engineering graduate from Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, Nigeria.

Ani Umoren,
General Manager, Midstream Operations

Ani joined Seven Energy on a full time basis in May 2013, after acting as the Group’s consultant on Production Operations Management. Ani has nearly 30 years of oil and gas industry experience and has held various positions in engineering, operations, maintenance and QHSSE/CSR. His most recent role was field construction advisor at ExxonMobil. Ani has a First Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, both from University of Delaware, US.

Chidi Chukwueke,
Director of Government Affairs

Chidi has over 20 years' industry experience with Royal Dutch Shell spanning integrated exploration, business development, asset development, project and stakeholder management and business relations among others. Prior to joining Seven Energy, Chidi was the business relations manager for Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company.
